Wendy S. Fiddler is Continuuum’s Director of Nursing Informatics; she has been with Continuum since its inception. Wendy received her degree in nursing from Anne Arundel Community College and her Bachelor of Science degree in Health Care Administration from Columbia Union College. Wendy founded the visit division of Continuum in 2006 and since that time it has grown to provide care for hundreds of patients throughout the regions we serve. In addition to managing this division, Wendy keeps her skills sharp by writing for professional journals and teaching new and evolving treatment protocols. Wendy and her husband live in Mount Pleasant South Carolina.
Kathy Mitchell is responsible for the oversight of the clinical operations of all of Continuum’s locations. She comes by this task naturally given her more than 25 years of nursing experience, more than 17 of which come from the NICU and pediatric home care. Kathy joined Continuum in the mid 1990’s after moving from New York. Kathy has a passion for staying current with information relevant to Continuum’s patient population. She is a constant source of insight and advocacy for parents. She has a natural gift for effortlessly teaching sophisticated nursing practice, which is why her leadership is so significant for Continuum’s nurses. Kathy’s daughters, Katie and Lauren, are her pride and joy!
Joe Green is the President of the Continuum Group. Working out of our McLean, Virginia headquarters, Joe can frequently be found visiting our various branch offices throughout the country. A native Washingtonian, Joe grew up primarily in Northern Virginia. He holds a BA from George Mason University and began his career working on Capitol Hill, focusing on healthcare legislative issues. Since then, Joe owned and managed a national healthcare staffing agency; worked as Director of Business Development for an IT services company; and served as Vice President for a multi-state mental health services provider among other, mostly healthcare related positions. Joe came to Continuum through a personal connection with the family of one of the children the company had cared for over the previous 10 years. Coming from this perspective, he considers his role at Continuum as much more than a job, and in addition to his wife and three children – Jay, Larkin and Emma – he is most proud to be part of the Continuum family.
Erin Jones came to Continuum in 2003 with an accounting background and “can do” attitude. Her initial role was as a payroll data entry clerk responsible for ensuring nurses were paid accurately and on time. Over the years, Erin has played a big part in the growth of Continuum across the country. With the addition of new offices and staff, her role at Continuum evolved to include supervising the payroll, billing and collections sides of the finance department. She has also been responsible for the training of new administrative staff both in the corporate and site offices. Her knowledge base and creative thinking have been integral in developing new policies as well as in the implementation of new software, leading to her promotion as National Administrator in 2018. She is also known as the comedian of the company and makes every effort to keep the atmosphere around her happy and filled with laughter. Erin is married and has two sons. Her hope is to continue to make a difference and set an example to her sons in learning the importance of dedication, loyalty and compassion for others.
Chris Walker is based in the McLean, Virginia office. Chris has been with Continuum since 1999 and is an expert in helping our families navigate the complicated insurance and benefits landscape of today’s healthcare environment. He holds a BS in Business Administration from Salisbury University and an MBA from Johns Hopkins University with a concentration in Finance and Accounting. Chris and his wife Stacy have four children – Shelby, Katelyn, Matthew and Hannah. Whenever he has a chance, Chris loves getting on his boat and fishing the Chesapeake Bay.
Kelly Johnston brings 25 years of health care management experience to her position at Continuum Pediatric Nursing. She has been involved in the clinical aspects of healthcare involving direct patient care and administrative functions, including insurance credentialing and medical billing. Kelly has well-rounded knowledge of insurance regulations, with broad understanding of Medicare and Medicaid Conditions of Participation, Joint Commission standards, HIPAA regulations, state regulations and has been involved in state site surveys for over 20 years. She works closely with all of our offices in maintaining compliance. She currently resides in Maryland and her children are her pride and joy. She enjoys attending her kids’ sporting events and traveling to the beach in her spare time.
Pam Wickham, RN came to Continuum in 2006 as a field nurse working with ventilator dependent children. Pam joined the office team as an Assistant Director of Nursing in 2007 and then the Director of Nursing for the Virginia Beach/Chesapeake office. Pam earned her Masters in Nursing Leadership and Management in 2018 and was promoted to Regional Director of Nursing. Pam has a strong passion for educating and training nurses to make a difference in the life of a child and their families.
Alexis Kaplan Lopez is the founder and President of Continuum Behavioral Health. She has worked with the Continuum family since 2003. In 2008, she became Continuum Pediatric Nursing’s Nurse Recruiter at the Corporate office in McLean, Virginia. With the Continuum mission embedded into her DNA, she was involved with the start and launch of the Continuum Autism Spectrum Alliance in 2011. In her free time, she enjoys photography, spending time with her children, dogs, and traveling whenever she can.
