Jeanette Mabie is Continuum’s Assistant Director of Nursing. Jeanette has been with Continuum as a staff nurse since 2004 – first as an LPN, then as a RN since 2015. She was promoted to Assistant Director in March 2016. In addition to her RN, Jeanette has a BS in Healthcare Management from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale (2002). She was in the US Army from 1988-1992, including deployments during Operation Desert Shield and Storm. Her time in the military gives her a special insight into the challenges faced by our many military clients. This coupled with her love for children and her experience working with their unique medical needs makes her a true asset for our families in the Washington DC metropolitan area. Outside of work Jeanette has a passion for international medical mission trips, during which she has visited Africa, Peru and Honduras. Married for 27 years, Jeanette particularly enjoys spending time with her daughter and son-in-law.
Robin Vick is Continuum’s Assistant Director of Nursing. Robin received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Duke University and has been a nurse for most of her professional life, always enjoying a work environment that is centered around health and the human body. She is also an artist, and she finds that her dual interests in science and the arts have given her a unique perspective on the internal as well as the physical attributes of her patients. For many years she worked in large medical centers because she liked the fact that learning was a big part of the environment in teaching hospitals. Over time she grew to specialize in neonatal intensive and special care, always working within the framework of maternal/child health and development. She eventually got her Masters degree in Health Science/Health Administration. Robin’s family includes her husband, Michael, and their son, Matthew. They recently moved back to the United States after having had the incredible experience of living in Russia, England and France. Robin has been with Continuum since early 2006.
Debbie Ortiz is Continuum’s Director of Recruiting – day in and day out the hub of activity here at our main office. Debbie has been with Continuum for over four years, during which time she has recruited and worked with hundreds of nurses and served as the critical link between those nurses and the families we serve. Born and raised in Northern Virginia (she lives in Woodbridge with her adorable son), Debbie has worked in healthcare her entire career, first in physician’s offices, and then later in a large family health center. Debbie loves the challenge of her important role here, and the fact that we consistently exceed all industry benchmarks for filled shifts is a testament to her success – although she is never satisfied with less than 100%!
